Jackie Woodburne has headed off to London, taking some much-needed time-out after an emotional and heavy filming schedule recently where her character Susan undergoes a marital breakdown.... does this mean this is the end for Karl and Susan?
Extremely loved among fans in the UK, Jackie Woodburne is doing the publicity rounds in London this week.
"We could have Jackie doing publicity for a month and still be fielding requests," said a FIVE spokesperson. "The media and fans adore Susan Kennedy, she’s the bestfriend, sister and mum we would all like to have, and the most gorgeous person in real life."
Jackie's played the role of Susan for over 16 years on Neighbours and still loves it just as much to this day.
I certainly had no grand plan to set any kind of record, I’ve stayed on the show because I love the character and the people I work with," said Woodburne. "The English viewers have always been incredibly supportive," she said.
Over the last month on Neighbours, Jackie has been filming some pretty heavy and emotional scenes, where she becomes involved with another man and her marriage goes through some tough times, so a holiday was well-earned. She is said to be combining her publicity tour in London with a holiday on the side.
So, what's going to happen between Susan and Karl? Is the Kennedy marriage finally over, once and for all? You'll have to wait and see.
"Yes, I did a lot of crying in that last week of filming and there is a lot more to come by the time this story concludes, but it’s compelling," said Woodburne who returns to the show’s Nunawading studio next week.
