According to sources, Ryan was not only a massive hit amongst the UK public, he was also the talk of the Green Room at the British Soap Awards where even the biggest soap stars were excited about the presence of the Neighbours actor.
The British viewing public has an insatiable appetite for serial drama with five local productions including Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale screening daily, along with international imports such as Neighbours.
The Ramsay Street stars are considered ‘soap royalty’ and Ryan was given the same red carpet treatment as co-star Stefan Dennis received when he attended last year’s awards.
Ryan presented the winner of the ‘best exit’ award at the British Soap Awards alongside Gabriella Cilmi, who is apparently a HUGE Neighbours’ fan. According to the pop princess, presenting the award beside Moloney will go down as one the most memorable nights of her life.
Ryan and Gabriella are holding a T-shirt promoting the Neighbours 'Make Me a Star' competition which is being offered to viewers across the UK, where the winner will appear as a guest on Neighbours - a launch-pad for many aspiring actors such as Kylie and Guy Pearce.

Long-time Ramsay Street favourite Ryan Moloney was given the royal treatment when he presented at this year's British Soap Awards alongside fellow Aussie Gabriella Cilmi. The awards filmed in London on May 8th and was watched by a 6 million strong viewing audience.
