Dieter started his acting career on Home and Away in the early 90s, winning a silver Logie and widespread attention both in Australia and overseas. However, television wasn’t where his real career aspirations were so he left to pursue other avenues, returning to the industry occasionally in guest roles.
However, a role in the popular underground series 'Underbelly' as Trevor Haken catapulted him back into the spotlight again and into his next role on Neighbours. The Sydney-sider is moving to Melbourne for seven weeks to film his guest role as Captain Troy Miller, Sonya’s ex soldier boyfriend. How will Toadie feel about the handsome soldier arriving on his turf? It will definitely be interesting.

Underbelly star Dieter Brummer is trading the grit of the underworld to join the residents of Ramsay Street as the former boyfriend of Sonya Mitchell, played by Eve Morey.
